Improv Traffic School Online
The original traffic school concept was created in California in 70s as a court diversion program for those with traffic tickets. Initially, it was taught in a classroom (i.e. stuffy basement of a local community center) by a moonlighting cop. While cops may know a lot about traffic safety, they may not necessary make the best teachers. Needless to say, spending 4-8 hours in a dark basement with a boring teacher can make for a long day…for everyone. Then an idea was born!
What is Comedy Defensive Driving or Comedy Traffic School?
What if traffic school classes could actually be fun? What if they were entertaining? Wouldn’t students learn more?
In 1989 it was with that idea Gary Alexander, one of the pioneers of the comedy defensive driving movement, approached Budd Friedman, founder of the famed Improv Comedy Club. Soon, the Improv Comedy Traffic School was born.
The success of this idea allowed Improv Traffic School to expand its comedy defensive driving courses almost overnight to many more states. Improv Comedy Traffic Schools were opened in Arizona, Florida, Texas and more. Then, like with other successful ideas, dozens of imitators have followed.
Don’t be fooled by courses like Comedy Traffic School, Comedy Defensive Driving, Laff for Less and others. There is only one, original Improv Comedy Traffic School.
