FAQs for Wisconsin Online Drivers Ed

Yes, we are approved by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (Wisconsin DOT-approved).

Students must be at least 14.5 years old to take this course and at least 15.5 to apply for a learner’s permit.

Per WI state, you are required to spend a minimum of 30 hours in the course, and a maximum of two hours per day. You must complete the course within 21 days.

No, you can complete the course on any device. You can use your phone, tablet, laptop, or any combination of devices!

Yes, there are easy-to-pass quizzes at the end of each chapter. You are allowed unlimited attempts to pass each quiz.

There is a final exam, but you are allowed multiple attempts to pass until you do by getting at least 16 out of 20 questions correct.

You cannot! Students receive unlimited numbers of attempts to pass the final exam with a score of 85% or higher.

We will electronically report your completion to the WI DOT. Once this happens, you will be in the DOT database as having completed the required course and eligible to apply for a permit. You will be able to download a certificate once you complete the course, but this is for your records only.

As long as you renew your probationary license and maintain a clean driving record, your probationary license will turn into a full WI driver license once you turn 19!
