Court Diversion

The court will clear your ticket if you take a defensive driving program and you will avoid having points assigned on your record for the violation you are dismissing.

In Arizona, you are eligible to take defensive driving / Traffic School for diversion (ticket dismissal) if you have an eligible traffic violation. Click here for a list of eligible violations. You are also eligible to take the course if your traffic violation DID NOT result in a collision that killed or seriously injured any person, as specified by ARS 28-3392(C)(1). You can take defensive driving for diversion once every 24 months.

How To Enroll

To enroll for traffic school, you will need to complete the online registration and enter payment information. You are required to print out, sign and return the eligibility document (found at the end of the registration process), along with a copy of the original citation and a legible copy of your driver license or other government-issued identification. Once we receive these documents, we will verify your information and check your eligibility with the court.

Important

Traffic school must be completed 7 days prior to your court appearance or traffic school due date. If you receive an extension from the court, please let us know as soon as possible. Payment in full must be made before you start the course. Once the course has been started, the state and court fees are not refundable. The course is available completely online, 24 hours a day, 7-days a week.
